DO I NEED TO PRUNE MY TREES AND SHRUBS?

Trees naturally shed their dead limbs over time. However, they rarely shed them cleanly and a wound is created. Over time this wound will decay and the decay will spread into the trunk or limb. Having a skilled Arborist properly prune those limbs at the proper time will aid the trees ability to compartmentalize the wound before decay becomes established.

Pruning requires years of training, knowledge, and practice. It also requires a keen eye for natural symmetry, grace and form. Pruning without the proper training and knowledge, can have a serious negative impact on your trees and shrubs.

WHY DO WE PRUNE?

  • Plants become crowded and overgrown for their location
  • Corrective pruning to regain the plants normal structure
  • Dead Limbs or hazards
  • To provide clearances for structures, utilities and for people
  • Thinning for better light penetration to lawns and gardens
  • For plant health concerns related to insects or diseases
  • For aesthetics
